THE IMPACT OF LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS ON MANAGERIAL EFFECTIVENESS
This research investigates the impact of leadership development programs on managerial effectiveness. Objectives are: (1) to assess the effectiveness of leadership development programs in enhancing managerial skills, (2) to analyze the relationship between leadership training and managerial performance, and (3) to identify best practices for leadership development. A survey design is chosen for its ability to provide quantitative insights from numerous respondents. Using Taro Yamane's formula, the sample size is 340, ensuring accuracy and reliability. The study focuses on the technology sector in Lagos, Nigeria, where continuous learning is essential. The reliability coefficient score is 0.87, indicating consistent results. Findings reveal that leadership development programs significantly enhance managerial effectiveness, with participants showing improved skills and performance. Recommendations include implementing comprehensive leadership development programs and providing ongoing training to maintain and enhance managerial effectiveness.
